AfterCheck help
Account and workspace
AfterCheck separates your personal account profile from the organization workspace your team uses.
Account profile
Your account profile stores:
- first name
- last name
- display name
- optional phone
- optional timezone
Your sign-in email is managed by the authentication provider and is read-only inside AfterCheck for now.
Organization workspace
Organization settings control:
- workspace name and slug
- public business profile
- branding and accent color
- notification preferences
- plans and billing posture
- compliance notes
Use Organization settings for workspace-level settings.
Delete your personal account
From Account, eligible users can choose **Delete personal account**. AfterCheck checks your current memberships, ownership, lifecycle state, holds, and related workspace/billing dependencies when you submit the request. Resolve ownership blockers first: transfer ownership or close an owned workspace. Ordinary Manager, Member, and covered Admin memberships do not block scheduling; AfterCheck disables those eligible memberships when logical closure completes. A sole Owner or final owner-class Admin cannot schedule personal closure while that active workspace still needs them. Exceptional legal or security holds, disputed ownership, corrupted lifecycle state, or provider inconsistencies require support.
Scheduling requires a recent, purpose-bound security verification. Your account stays active during the server-calculated **14-day recovery window**. The page shows the effective date and offers **Cancel scheduled account deletion**; cancellation is serialized with execution and returns the account to its normal active state. Cancellation is not restoration because logical closure has not yet happened.
At effective execution, AfterCheck performs a fresh readiness check and closes the app-owned personal account logically. Application access and eligible memberships/user-scoped credentials are disabled, while required audit, billing, security, and lifecycle evidence is retained. The status shown on the page comes from the lifecycle request and required finalization phases, not from whether a confirmation email arrived.
AfterCheck may show **Notification delayed** after the lifecycle operation has already completed. This means the confirmation message needs delivery attention; it does not reopen the account or make ordinary access available again. A **Blocked** or **Failed** lifecycle status is different: follow the displayed resolution guidance, or contact Support when the page explicitly asks you to.
Personal account closure does **not** close a workspace, delete customer or organization data, delete organization-owned provider records or API keys, cancel Stripe, delete the Supabase Auth identity, or promise immediate, permanent erasure. Those are separate operations or later reviewed retention work. The retained Auth identity cannot by itself restore ordinary app access after logical closure. Contact Support only for the exceptional states described above.
Close a workspace
The current workspace Owner can review live closure readiness from Workspace closure. Workspace closure and billing cancellation are separate:
- Resolve any ownership, contact, retention, or billing blockers.
- Cancel an active paid subscription from Plans and Billing.
- Wait for AfterCheck to receive current provider-confirmed billing evidence.
- Request a one-time security code, type the exact workspace name, and schedule closure.
AfterCheck calculates a 14-day recovery window on the server. The workspace stays active during that window. If the billing provider's confirmed cancellation date is later, closure waits until that later effective date. The Owner can cancel the workspace-closure request before the stored cancellation deadline. Cancelling workspace closure does not reactivate or otherwise change billing.
When execution begins, AfterCheck checks ownership, holds, contacts, request version, and billing again. Logical closure then disables the workspace's public and operational capabilities, including campaigns, public profile, action destinations, API keys, webhook endpoints, kiosk access, and local integration execution. Required billing, security, privacy, and audit records remain retained. Export anything you need before closure completes.
The workspace-closure page distinguishes authoritative lifecycle progress from message delivery. A delayed confirmation email does not mean that a completed workspace is active, and it does not reverse closure. During the recovery window the page continues to show whether cancellation is available. Once required access-safety finalization is running, blocked, failed, or complete, the page shows the matching safe next step instead of treating email delivery as lifecycle truth.
Completed logical workspace closure is not self-restorable. It does not physically erase the organization or customer records, delete the Owner's personal account or Supabase Auth identity, or make a live Stripe cancellation call. Personal account deletion and physical disposition remain separate operations.
Transfer workspace ownership
A stored workspace Owner can transfer ownership to an active Manager or Member from Team settings. AfterCheck sends a one-time security code to the verified email on the Owner's account. The code establishes a purpose-bound confirmation that expires after 15 minutes and can be used only once for the selected workspace and recipient.
The recipient becomes Owner and the previous Owner becomes Manager. Billing and legal contact records do not change automatically. Final eligibility is checked when the transfer runs, so a removed member or a concurrent ownership change requires a new confirmation. Closing the dialog before final submission changes nothing.
Standalone promotion of an additional Owner is temporarily unavailable pending its own reviewed security-confirmation flow.
Plans and billing
Use Plans and Billing to see the workspace's current plan, commercial status, and soft usage counters. Free is the evaluation path. Solo, Starter, Pro, and Founding Customer Annual describe the path for regular use.
AfterCheck does not run checkout or collect payment details in-app today. Founding or manual billing arrangements are owner-assisted, and future self-serve billing is planned around Square.
If you cannot access the right workspace, open Support with your account email, workspace name if known, and the page URL where access failed.
Locations
Locations add business context for campaigns and requests. They are simple location or service-area records. Maps, geocoding, territory logic, and location analytics are not part of the v0.1 location module.
